Summary
New patients recovered to 39 from July's 29. August is a positive turn, although monthly numbers remain below the March-to-June average.
Google Ads produced four lead enquiries and webchat produced three. Seven enquiries were not assigned a source, limiting a clear comparison of channel performance.
Google Ads generated 23 direct responses, primarily calls, while Meta generated 13,221 clicks. Search was the direct-response channel; Meta was the scale and traffic channel.
Paid media supplied 90.9% of website visits, while organic and referral traffic combined supplied 3.2%. Website visitor volume was driven primarily by paid media during August.
NPN
Four years of monthly results show how August compares with the practice’s previous performance.
| Month | 2023 | 2024 | 2025 | 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| January | 19 | 28 | 57 | 48 |
| February | 28 | 26 | 56 | 31 |
| March | 36 | 21 | 29 | 51 |
| April | 18 | 22 | 27 | 41 |
| May | 29 | 28 | 26 | 51 |
| June | 22 | 32 | 24 | 41 |
| July | 28 | 34 | 26 | 29 |
| August | 24 | 15 | 33 | 39 |
| September | 28 | 42 | 25 | - |
| October | 13 | 25 | 22 | - |
| November | 33 | 40 | 43 | - |
| December | 29 | 16 | 50 | - |
At 39 new patients, August was the strongest August in the four-year comparison. It is also a stronger year-on-year result.
The 34.5% rebound from July recovered 10 patients, but August was still 15.2% below the March-to-June run rate. A second consecutive month at or above 46 would be a more meaningful sign of stability.
The clinic is 53 new patients ahead of the same point in 2025. The year-to-date picture is stronger than the recent monthly volatility, so the focus should be on restoring consistency rather than reacting to one weak month.

Calls
Google Ads
This campaign generated all Google Ads activity in August. The New Patient and Emergency campaign generated no activity in August.
Impressions rose 6.4% from July, but clicks fell 10.9% from 165 to 147. As a result, click-through rate declined from 8.05% to 6.74% and average cost per click rose from $18.42 to $20.94.
Spend stayed broadly flat against July, while total Google Ads conversions moved from 24 to 23. The cost per conversion therefore increased from approximately $126.67 to $133.82, a 5.6% rise.
All August search activity came from one campaign. Of its 23 conversions, 19 were calls, so call activity accounted for 82.6% of the campaign’s total response volume.
Meta Ads
This was the only Meta campaign that materially generated traffic, accounting for 99.6% of clicks.
This campaign supported reach, not traffic. Its click cost was more than 25 times higher than the New Patient Offer campaign.
The New Patient Offer campaign generated 99.6% of Meta clicks at $0.07 each. It is the strongest traffic campaign this month and should remain the benchmark for future offer or creative testing.
Omnipresence delivered 19.7% of Meta impressions but only 0.4% of clicks, at a click cost more than 25 times higher than the New Patient Offer campaign. It is serving an awareness role, not an efficient traffic role, and should be judged against reach rather than clicks.

Wins
The month outperformed every prior August and kept the year-to-date total 19.1% ahead of 2025. The focus is on carrying that annual strength through the remaining months.
Google Ads generated 19 calls and 18 were answered, keeping paid-search call handling stable throughout the month.
Google Ads generated 23 conversions, 82.6% of which were phone calls. Search is therefore creating response opportunities, not just website visibility.
The campaign generated 13,171 clicks at $0.07 each and materially outperformed the awareness campaign for traffic. It is the clearest benchmark for the next creative iteration.
Next Steps
Update every new-patient enquiry with its source, booking status, attendance, and treatment outcome. This will clarify where to focus next: generating demand, converting appointments, or following up after booking.
Seven August enquiries have no source assigned. Completing source, booking, attendance, and treatment outcomes for every enquiry will support better budget decisions.
Google Ads generated all calls and 23 total conversions in August. Review click-through rate, cost per click, and cost per conversion against July before making the next budget adjustment.
